But the main question is – when to change it? There is no straight answer to this question. In case you are using the modern freshwater system, you don’t have to change the spa’s water that often. You can change it once in 12 months.

If the hot tub’s water has a pungent smell or it seems unclear, then changing the water can help. You can drain out the tub completely using one of the two methods.
